You can grow your own food. We can help.

Wings Park Elementary School Garden

Now in its third year of production, the Wings Park Elementary School garden consists of four raised beds located about thirty feet from the elementary school. Managed by the district Food Service Director, all produce grown is harvested and used in school food for students to enjoy. With the funds from the grant, the district hopes to expand the garden and increase production to land surrounding the raised beds. The larger garden will increase the amount of food used in school meals as well as create a learning landscape for students to use year round, enforcing concepts learned in the classroom.
