Varying Abilities Indoor Community Garden

Prospect Meadow Farm is a nonprofit social enterprise working farm that empowers physically, mentally, developmentally, and economically challenged individuals to find meaningful activity through work in agriculture related fields.

Prospect Meadow Farm has just opened a career training and exploration community center. The focus of the center is to provide individuals who are developmentally disabled and physically disabled with meaningful daily activities in farm related jobs and career training.

Most farming opportunities are limited to those who are physically able to access our farm fields. The garden we are proposing for the center would be an indoor, hydroponic garden. This indoor garden would allow individuals in wheel chairs and with other physical disabilities to have hands on garden experiences.

The center provides daily support for up to 25 disabled individuals.
