Sunrays in flowers project

The project was born out of a need to foster a sense of pride amongst the youth who live in the urban slums of Delft South. These impoverished youth are burdened with drug abuse(meth-addicted parents), Foetal alcohol syndrome, high incidents of tuberculosis, extremely high rates of HIV and aids deaths and physical and mental abuse.

We, the teaching staff came together and created a garden, an oasis in the dusty streets, that not only inspires creativity and ellicits greater academic thinking, but instils values and pride, and a will to improve our childrens lives,
