Just received my copy of What’s Wrong With My Vegetable Garden? It's very informative. I would recommend it, too, especially for a beginning gardener. It is definitely a "go to" book for common problems.

Good luck so far this season. My "currant" tomatoes are setting lots of fruit. My "bush" beans that climbed up some string supports are setting lots of beans. Brussel sprouts are making progress, about a foot high now. Pepper plants had aphids so I bought some lady bugs for them and that seems to be working. Herbs are doing well; mint, lavender, rosemary, oregano, parsley, and basil. Carrot seedlings are disappointing at the moment. Getting ready to plant 3 varieties of beets. Oh, and my kale crop over the winter did great. lol

Planted Swiss chard on Sunday; it got rained on that night; already sprouting by Tuesday. :)

After 2 months of contruction Brenda & I finally finished our 18' x 18' hoop-house. We have planted tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, basil, cilantro, parsley in five raised beds. Many recycled materials were used.

just picked some volunteer spinach, am going back for young onions after i blend the dressing.
