Hi there, I have a quarter acre patch close to the centre of Adelaide which is based on permaculture principles . I enjoy growing fruit the most...I am a terrrible cook so grow my vegies for the look of them and give them to friends and neighbours! I have just started to volunteer in a "Kitchen Garden" at a local school
A quarter-acre patch in the center of the city sounds wonderful! Do you find that it is a magnet gathering place? for neighbors and/or wildlife? You needn't be a *good* cook to enjoy eating fresh food - I will look for an earlier discussion at kgi of *fast food fresh from the garden* ...
Hi! Permaculture with all the trees, fruit and nuts and vegetables beneath,I would like to do that, but lack the space and long term commitment to one place.I,'m not much of a cook either, most of my crops I turn into salads, with or without steaming them before.Glad You work with kids,it's so important.Growing some of our food should be a task similar to putting on our shoes in the morning.....
