So,this is the new site? Happy Birthday then! And congratulations to everybody who has worked / is working at it! Didn't happen by itself,I assume....
Yes, Antonis, this is it! We still have a few tweaks to make, but the basic functionality is working. We'll also be introducing new features in the weeks and months ahead. Thanks for noticing and, yes again, there were a lot of people who made this site happen.
Hi Roger! Very pleased to meet You! Again, congratulations to all of you, the site has so much greater clarity than the previous one. I assume, most categories will be substituted with tagging. Ah, while speaking of <a few tweaks> may be encrypted login would be worth a thought. Evesdroppers and script kiddies could be attracted by the sheer number of participants.
Nice to meet you too. Yes, we're hoping to do more with tags. I will check on the encrypted login option. Do you work in web development?
No, I'm not a developer; wasn't my intention to sound like one. I'm rather a novice struggling to be in charge of his tools, instead of vice versa. Craftsman's attitude, what can I say.....
There's no punishment for sounding like you know what you're talking about! We're all struggling with tools in one way or another. Hopefully, this site can be a useful tool for gardeners. Do let me know if you see ways that it can be made better.
Brilliant tongue as always, Roger! I think, the site IS useful for online advice from real people, real gardeners, and by it's "unite" function. I understand, there has been some success in US frontyard gardening legislation issues already. If I can help, I will.
