You can grow your own food. We can help.

Silver Bee Community Garden

We are a newly formed committee consisting of Silver Valley residents with a diverse background of gardening knowledge. Our group is committed to building a strong coalition of supporters for our garden. Our goals are to provide plots that will grow healthy produce for our local food bank, Senior Meals Program, and other Shoshone County programs (e.g. Boy Scout's food drive, and local churches food drives) that utilize fresh produce as well as individuals that wish to grow a garden but lack the space or knowledge.

We are located in an EPA Super fund site, with our area being contaminated from several years of mining activities. In order for our group to utilize the city lots that have been approved we will have to have all gardening activities in above ground raised beds with barriers in place.
