Question details
I'm looking for examples of programs that use organize groups of home gardeners to support local food pantries. I have a potential group of gardeners, I'd like to find creative ways to encourage them to donate and quantify their contributions as a group.
Hi Chad. I put this question to our facebook group and had some useful feedback. There are programs that you can tie into like Ample Harvest and Plant a Row for the Hungry, but it sounds like you're looking to do something more "freestyle." One person commented on an effort she was part of where a number of people got together to grow a garden together where half the produce was shared among them and half was donated. I can put you in touch with her if you like.
