Question

KGI
How do I have my blog posts and recipes featured on the KGI homepage and/or newsletter?

Answer

  1. Be generous. Upload a whole blog post and not just a teaser meant to direct the reader to your own blog for the rest of the information.  We provide many opportunities for bloggers to include links back to their blogs.  Take advantage of them.  If we do decide to feature your post or recipe, you will have a number of new readers who will want to see what else you have to say.  We don't feature teaser posts.
  2. Include a great photo.  Content that has a featured photo, especially a particularly beautiful one or instructive one, has a better chance of being featured because our homepage and newsletter are both quite visual.  If you don't have a photo of your own for a particular post or recipe, you can often find a creative commons photo that will work. Just be sure to use the photo credit link to give credit where it's due.
