Has anyone planted a clover cover crop in a large raised bed? If yes, what needs to be done to the cover crop before planting?

I planted red clover late last summer in a 4x18' raised bed and plan to follow it with corn late this spring. I know I have to till or chop the clover into the soil. Any suggestions on how long to let the clover rest before planting corn?
