Is anyone working as an employee of KGI ? Perhaps in a fashion similar to a missionary. Supported by the sending organization, serving as a consultant, teacher, etc. Masanobu Fukuoka had a vision for re-vegetating the deserts of the world. Has there been any attempt to mobilize resources in support of any such program ?
India's government seized upon his ideas, but I know of no other inroads that he achieved.
KGI has one, busy employee, i.e. myself, and I have missionary-like zeal about the role that kitchen gardens can play and will need to play in society. I don't, however, lead the missionary life in terms of traveling abroad to help people. Our role is more that of an enabler by giving local groups the material resources they need. One person/group that does travel abroad to give trainings is John Jeavons of Ecology Action. You can learn more about them here:
