Any tips on getting garlic to grow to maturity? Last year mine did not turn into anything...really wanna make it work this year!
Did you plant them in the fall or wait until spring? Where are you located? I have grown buckets of garlic in Colorado. Make sure the soil is fairly loamy and not compacted. Buy garlic designed to be planted either from a local source or someplace like Johnny's seeds (not from the grocery store). Plant them in about October and mulch them over well. In the spring they should come up and be very prolific. Currently, May 9th, my garlic plants are 20" tall and starting to get scapes. Hope this helps.
