You can grow your own food. We can help.

NxGen Preserve 63

2014 will be the 4th season for NxGen Preserve 63. This year we are expanding the community garden to include the vacant lot next to the existing community garden.  Additionally we have more families participating in the community garden this season.  Some with young children with food allergies that require food grown with no pesticides or chemicals.

The expansion plans include new raised beds, a chicken coop, a gathering space for events, a rain garden and a grape trellis.

Our neighborhood is in a hard hit area of Cleveland that has been adversely affected by the foreclosure crisis and job loss.  Taking these vacant lots, providing access to healthy food and building community has had a positive effect on our street.
