I have just started to receive seed catalogs this year. I used to order organic seed from The Cook's Garden, but hadn't for several years, so I was surprised to receive their catalog. It looked glossy and big, compared to what I remembered. Yes, indeed. It is now owned by Burpee.
Hi Carol!Take a look at http://www.reinsaat.at .Strictly organic and lots of handwork. They are on this side of the great (Atlantic) water and ordering seeds from them may make sense only for somewhat larger amounts(may be collective orders by more than one gardener?).And for all those in north America who correctly feel that they are on THIS side of the great water, too: reinsaat is located in Austria,Europe.Happy and successful 2013!
Baker Creek is another fabulous organic/heirloom seed company, they have a lovely catalog too.
Thanks to you both for your recommendations. This is definitely the time of year to look at catalogs and dream. I'm always up for checking out new sources. Will look at both reinsaat and Baker Creek.
