You can grow your own food. And we can help!

I planted a Stevia plant. Will this survive my high desert winter in CA? How should I harvest this? Can it be put in freezer? Any tips appreciated.

Stevia is temperature-rated to about a mild zone 9-10. When I lived in Taos, New Mexico I potted up a Stevia plant which was very attractive & useful indoors. If you prune it via your kitchen-harvesting it will side-branch & fill out quite nicely. I think like any herb with a delicate leaf & taste it is best used fresh. I liked to chop mine fresh over fruit salad with the kitchen scissors.
