Breakfast soup

Starting my day again with a hardy super-easy breakfast soup: 1.5 cups of this week's homemade chicken bone broth, 2 c chopped greens (chard and beet today), diced sausage, egg (dropped), herbs, salt. Yum!


This is too awesome! What do you mean by egg (dropped)? The soup is warmed and the egg is dropped in the soup? Thank you! I am going to try this!
You may find the process for egg drop soup in a cookbook. I tried adding egg to veggie soup a few months ago. You sort of drizzle the egg gradually and gently stir into cooked soup heating on the stove. Cooking time is probably about five minutes. I wrote it somewhere on my blog but can't find it. I have to get organized!
