You can grow your own food. We can help.

Little Sprouts Learning Garden

Little Sprouts is a preschool with a small learning garden.  We've been given some land to use to expand the garden and we have fenced off with donated supplies a 20 x 80 foot area to grow food.  We are not an non-profit organization and the preschool is a private school that grosses around $4000 per year which is what the owner/operator takes as a salary, so there is no profit to speak of being made off of this preschool.  We would love to have a load of soil mix granted to us for our garden expansion we are building.  The children that attend the school are ages 1-12.  They are learning about germination, the earth, nature, life cycles, and how to grow food and they are teaching their parents, friends, neighbors and families to grow food.  We have been turned down for grant after grant because we are not considered non-profit and we are not a public school, but shouldn't private schools be allowed to participate?  They are benefitting with exercise, learning about the earth, healthier eating, and learning skills to be self sufficient.  Their families and the surrounding neighbors are benefiting as well.
