You can grow your own food. We can help.

Jannah Community Garden

Al Maun (Neighborly Needs) of Las Vegas, a 100% donor-supported organization, serves the local Las Vegas community by providing medical assistance, funeral/burial needs, utility assistance, child and adult education (via our GED program and learning center), and food and nutrition services for families, children, senior citizens, and the homeless population. We hope to continue to provide these services via a community garden. Our objectives for the garden are to grow food organically, beautify and improve neighborhood asthetics, build and unite the community, and foster science and health education. We also hope the garden will inspire our children to want to know where their food comes from, make better food choices, and by extension, become better students and citizens.

The garden will benefit local children, families, the homeless, and others who suffer from food insecurity. We also hope that the garden will help us internalize a sense of earth stewardship and a proper respect for nature and the environment. The students, teachers, administration, and community are excited about all the possibilities that a community garden has to offer.
