Raised bed garden for the disabled at our senior gardens!
Seniors in wheelchairs can continue to garden at the senior garden site
This is a great idea for accessibility! Like a double-raised bed. Where is this garden, Mike?
Emily, I didn't know our garden was on this website until this morning. Amazing, isn't it. Our gardens are located in Beaver, Pennsylvania, just northwest of Pittsburgh. We are starting a new project with residents of a nursing home facility which is located about 2/10 of a mile above our gardens. Since we are in the very early stages of discussing the project, there is nothing to report at this time. We do have a senior garden area. Approximately 40 seniors garden here in 25 plots. Please let me know about your gardens, etc. I need to learn a lot more before we start our new project. Mike.
