You can grow your own food. We can help.

Growing a Healthier Future

The Farmington Association currently has an afterschool program where children can come and learn about Growing a Healthier Future.  The garden is currently 1,800 square feet and we hope to double that and divide the garden into 10'x10' areas.  The idea is to pair up the children and let them work on their 10'x10' area and realize how much you can grow in one small spot.  We would love to see the children take what they have learned and grow a garden at home with their family.  In the past, we have mainly focused on vegetables but we would love to incoorporate some fruits and herbs this go-around. We love to see children being outdoors learning, being physically active and providing for others all at the same time.  We hope that this small program will make a big impact with Growing a Healthier Future!
