You can grow your own food. We can help.

food, clothing bank and baby pantry

Manna’s Market is a food, clothing bank and baby pantry serving the County of Barry, as well as portions of Ionia and Eaton Counties.  We opened our doors on February 19, 2007, and have been humbled and overwhelmed by the need in the communities we serve.

Since we opened Manna’s Market has been working out of an old store front in Woodland, Michigan.  For the past two years, we have been actively searching for a new location with more space.

We are excited to report that the Lakewood Baptist Church, 7180 Velte Road, Lake Odessa, Barry County, Michigan, dissolved and has donated their building and acreage to Manna’s Market.  This gives us a 6,300 square foot building and almost eight acres.  We are thrilled with the space we will have to service our recipients.

We serve the basic needs of those in our geographic service area by providing food, clothing and baby pantry items on a monthly basis to those who are food insecure.  We have total community participation in that we have no paid staff.  Our volunteers run The Market, and now our volunteers and the community are committed to volunteering wherever they can at the new building.

The new programs that The Market will be able to have in our new location are limited only the imagination.  Classes, gardening, counseling, and personal attention are among our highest priorities.  These programs will continue our commitment to making a healthy community that creates compassionate social, economic and political environments where people have full opportunities to meet basic needs for themselves and their families, and to advance themselves.
