You can grow your own food. And we can help!

D.I.G. - Brock University Community Garden

D.I.G. (Develop Integrate and Grow) is Brock University's first community garden which was built in the spring of 2012. It is located right on the campus here in St. Catharines, Ontario. The volunteers at D.I.G. take a do-it-yourself approach to all of our projects and aim to keep the garden organic. D.I.G. provides an inviting, inclusive environment where students and staff of Brock University are welcome to join anytime of the year. The garden offers a space where volunteers can partake in hands-on learning about food production and environmental sustainability. Through gardening, meaningful friendships are built and maintained and a community of like-minded "Diggers" is grown. Together, we have a voice to advocate against the current state of the mass economic food system and for locally grown, organic produce on campus and in the community. Our initiatives promote awareness and education on sustainable food production to our gardeners, as well as other students at Brock.
