Demonstration Garden Improvement

The Frederick County Maryland Master Gardeners, a volunteer 501(C)(3) organization, would like to take this opportunity to apply for a grant under the Sow it Forward Program. The Frederick County Maryland Master Gardeners mission is to support the University of Maryland Extension mission by educating residents about safe, effective and sustainable horticultural practices that build health gardens, landscapes and communities.

We are seeking grant monies to allow construction of raised beds in our demonstration vegetable garden area ( Proposed Demonstration Raised Bed Layout is attached) on the grounds of the Frederick County Maryland Extension Office.

With the raised beds it will be easier for senior citizens and citizens with physical impairments to access the garden and benefit from therapeutic horticulture activities.
