You can grow your own food. We can help.

Deerfield and Pompano Garden Initiatives

The Need to Feed's Community Garden initiative plants and harvests fresh fruits and vegetables to supplement food pantries in Broward County Florida with fresh produce; provides planting demonstrations at pantries, schools and community events to encourage food insecure households to grow their own food; provides cooking demonstrations to promote healthy eating; and provides meal service to pantry clients and members of the community who may have otherwise gone hungry.

Since 2012 The Need to Feed, Inc. has grown over 3,400 pounds of fresh produce for food pantries in Broward County; has conducted planting demonstrations for over 600 participants; has conducted cooking demonstrations for 2,883 participants and has served over 8,000 meals to members of the community.
