Corprew Hydroponic Garden

Corprew Elementary

Backgound.

Frances Corprew Elementary is committed to the new era of technology and green environment. We currently have a produce garden run by our students from K-4th. Everybody volunteers to have a role by planting, watering plants, removing bad herbs, harvesting, and selling (auctioning) the fresh produce between them.  Adults facilitate the entire cycle to make students aware of the produce process.  We also let them explore their entrepreneurial skills to sell their fresh produce. There are too many skills learned with this project. Social skills, Farming skills, Science, Math, Social Studies (geography), weather conditions, etcetera.

We plan to use the money to build a new indoor garden to show our kids the complete process. We will pump the water to our pipes, then water will use gravity to run into the rest of the pipes and the remaining water will drop into an artificial pond with fishes, so finally we will pump the water again.
