You can grow your own food. We can help.

Camp KBY Teaching / Learning Garden

We are in the process of expanding our 5000 square foot garden to 10,000. We would like to add an alternative garden encompassing differnt methods of small space gardening for urban areas, raised beds for handicapp access, hoop gardens and cold frame gardening. During the summer season we have over 630 children who participate in our garden programs. During the school year we anticipate another 600 elemntary students to participate. The expanded garden will allow for gardening education for families and their children to potentially incorporate gardening and healthy food choices into eveyday life. As the garden expands from a teaching garden to a production garden. one goal is to provide freshly grown produce to our city's food desert.
