You can grow your own food. We can help.

A very exciting and fulfilling day.

Sep 10, 2010

Today I spent few hours distributing seed among three needy families living in rural Islamabad I had a very exiting and fulfilling day. It gave me an opportunity to serve and aid needy people I selected three poor residences of Soan (an hour drive from Islamabad) the houses and agriculture land of this area was badly affected by flood in Soan River during recent heavy rains. The first house hold was that of Mohammad Mustafa. He works as peon in government department and during his spare time grows vegetable on small agriculture land and sells in local market This way he makes both end meet, to supported family comprising of 2 sons and three daughters. His son was very excited when he came to know that, Mr. Glenn of Kitchen gardener’s org living in England has been kind enough to give them seeds free of cost. As I sat down with wife for a cup of tea, he surprised me by making a poster to express his words of thanks. On it he wrote “Thank you Mr. Glenn and Kitchen Gardener.Org Unfortunately since it was very sunny and poster was reflective and writing on poster is hardly eligible. The other two families are of Mr. Malik Naaz and Rehan Khan. They are all neighbors. (pic of Mr Mustafa and his son.)
