White House Harvests and Expands Kitchen Garden
Despite all the snow and wacky weather that Washington DC received this winter, the White House managed to pull off a pretty amazing looking off season harvest using low tunnels. Check out the video to see for yourself. It gives you a sense of just how much additional food could be grown in the off season in temperate climates.
But the really exciting news is that the White House garden is not only growing, but growing...from its original size of 1100 square feet to about 1600 square feet. More good food ahead!
