Gardening with a little help

Apr 18, 2010

Funny how dogs have to be in on the action. The minute I got the spade out and started digging she planted herself in the middle of where I was working and wouldn't be moved.

That's what's called a "garden watchdog" as in "You garden. I watch."
Do not tell her I said so. I have a "Garden WatchWife", I garden, she watches when she comes by for my son or to get extra cash. It is extra to her, I never have extra cash myself!
Shortly after our old Lab departed the planet I dreamed I walked into the kitchen and there she was. With perfect lucid dreaming, I thought -- I know this is a dream but I am not going to miss the opportunity! So I sat down on the floor and embraced her & massaged her grizzly coat & kissed her silky grey muzzle. I wish I wish I knew how to post a photo of her lying in the dirt of the emerging stone path wearing her orange, neon river collar. :-) Enjoy your friend this gardening season!
That's so sad. I will enjoy her especially as she is getting old!

Life would be much simpler if we took our que from dogs! When they want attention and love they just ask, and they dont even need words! Looks like you have a lovely gardening companion there.
