Pam Warhurst: How We Can Eat Our Landscapes

May 01, 2013

Pam Warhurst cofounded Incredible Edible, an initiative in Todmorden, England dedicated to growing food locally by planting on unused land throughout the community. I had the pleasure to meet Pam and her fellow subversive plotters last fall on my way back from a conference in Ireland.  They're not only a dedicated group, but a fun one too.

In her TED talk, she makes an excellent case for rethinking how public spaces can be used for the greater public good through edible landscaping.  Watch and be inspired:

I watched Pan Warhurst, and became inspired to work on a school project in my neighborhood. I am gonna start small with some boxes and see where it takes me. Thanks for the posting.
You're welcome and stay inspired. That's how we move forward!
