How to Make Your Own Seed Starting Mix

Jan 28, 2014
Blog type:

In this helpful video, blogger Gary Pilarchik walks you through the simple process of creating your own seed-starting mix. You'll see that there are just a few ingredients (peat moss, vermiculite/perlite and some form of organic fertilizer) which can be bought in bulk to reduce costs even further. If you have a chance, check out Gary's equally helpful blog, The Rusted Vegetable Garden or his Google+ Community called Our Tomato & Vegetable Gardens.
