You can grow your own food. We can help.

One Garden, One Goal, One Community

Jun 29, 2014

The one person most affected in a positive way by the Kennebunk Community Garden, Kennebunk, ME is a "collective" ONE.  It's the mother with 2 children that can now put some food on the table, it's the local residents who are such dedicated volunteers and work so hard to plant and harvest produce for weekly donations; it's the Director of CCOS (Church Community Outreach Services) in Kennebunk, who can see tangible results in helping food insecure people in our community. It's the recipients at the YCSP (York County Shelter Program) in Alfred who recive the produce.

It's the eye opening experience of visitng a local food pantry and seeing first hand the extent of food insecurity in our community and realizing that by working together as one, with a common goal we can in fact help to alleviate at least some of this.
