Sophia and Maddy research health issues in Waldo County as part of a service learning project.  They learn that access to healthy food is a significant concern for many folks, especially given the cost of healthy food.  They design their project, with assistance from our district's FoodCorps service member Christine Gall, to meet this need, resulting in a garden stand that is open this summer and offers food on a pay-what-you-can basis, with all food being grown by students here at Walker School.
