A Community Garden

Jun 30, 2014
Blog type:

The Life Haven Garden is active and growing. May was the perfect time to start the garden with sunshine and a few showers. Children and parents living at Life Haven helped to clean the garden, pulling up weeds, adding new soil to the garden boxes, and turning the soil.  Tulip bulbs were planted first and then came the vegetable seeds. The Life Haven Garden has been a community project with both staff, residents, and volunteers working on it. KGI has helped not only provide resources for the garden, but also helpful tips on gardening through the e-newsletter.
