The benches are in! Come and enjoy the Pathfinder K-8 garden.

The Pathfinder K-8 school garden in Seattle, WA is ready for summer!  The cosmos are blooming, lettuce is plentiful, and all the plants are in.  Thanks to Kitchen Gardeners International we now have a beautiful place for the community to come sit and enjoy the garden. With their funding we ordered durable benches that convert into desks by flipping the back side forward. And we couldn't be happier. Students now have a place to sit and write garden observations, poetry, drawings and more - right int the garden. We've already made good use of them in classes and the school community is venturing to the garden more now that there is a place to sit. Teachers are more excited to bring their classes out too! Thanks to KGI for making this possible.   It is truly bolstering our program by helping us reach out to more of the community and engange students in more effective garden learning experiences.
